SEATTLE, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BioViva USA Inc. today announced the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 12,653,907, titled Methods of Treating or Preventing Age-Related Disorders, covering therapeutic methods involving the combination of human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and Follistatin-344 (FST).
The patent was issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 16, 2026, BioViva USA Inc. is the assignee. The patent represents an important addition to BioViva’s intellectual-property portfolio focused on genetic approaches to age-related disorders.
A Dual-Gene Approach to Age-Related Biology
The patented technology combines two biological targets with complementary roles in aging biology.
hTERT, the catalytic component of telomerase, is involved in telomere maintenance. Telomeres protect the ends of chromosomes and are associated with cellular replicative capacity and aging.
