PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Retreat Turks & Caicos has appointed Layvern Daniel as hotel manager ahead of the locally developed boutique hotel’s opening in October 2026.
Daniel brings more than 12 years of luxury Caribbean hospitality experience spanning resort operations, guest relations, housekeeping, concierge services, sales, reservations and operational strategy. Her cross-functional background equips her to lead every aspect of the guest journey while maintaining the operational and commercial discipline required to establish a successful new hotel.
Throughout her career, Daniel has developed a strong understanding of what discerning travelers expect from a luxury boutique property: attentive service, thoughtful personalization, responsive communication and consistency at every touchpoint. Her experience managing pre-arrival communications, concierge services, VIP requests and service recovery will help The Retreat create seamless stays and build lasting relationships with guests, partners and vendors.
Daniel also brings valuable commercial expertise. She has led reservations and operations while working closely with marketing and ownership on management and brand optimization. Her established relationships with travel advisors, tour operators and industry partners will support The Retreat’s market positioning and help introduce the property to local, regional and international travelers.
Her familiarity with leading luxury travel networks and programs, including Small Luxury Hotels of the World and top travel networks, provides further insight into the service expectations and commercial standards of the global travel market.
Daniel’s leadership credentials include being named Manager of the Year in 2025 and being selected for the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s Young Leaders Forum for 2025-2026. She has also held progressive operational leadership roles involving staff training, interdepartmental coordination, quality assurance and guest satisfaction.
As hotel manager, Daniel will guide The Retreat through its opening phase, establish its operating and service standards, develop a high-performing team and build a culture centered on genuine Caribbean hospitality. Her knowledge of the Turks and Caicos market, combined with her operational breadth and commercial experience, will help The Retreat deliver memorable guest experiences while establishing a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
Daniel holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Management of Tourism and a bachelor’s degree from Monroe College. She is proficient in English, Spanish and St. Lucian Creole.
