Lithium battery brand Redodo has launched its new 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth LiFePO4 Battery, designed for trolling motors rated at 70–100 lbs of thrust. The battery packs 25.6V 100Ah and 2,560Wh of energy into a compact Group 31 footprint while delivering more than 6,000 cycles, giving boaters a lighter, longer-lasting 24 volt trolling motor battery option.

For anglers who spend long hours on the water, a trolling motor battery affects more than runtime. It also impacts boat weight, storage space and overall convenience. Traditional 24V trolling motor systems often require two 12V lead-acid batteries wired in series, adding weight while taking up more room for installation and wiring. Without real-time battery monitoring, it can also be difficult to know how much runtime remains.
Redodo’s new battery is designed to address these challenges. Compared with a conventional 24V 100Ah lithium battery form factor, it is approximately 40.8% smaller. A single 24V Group 31 lithium battery can also replace two 12V lead-acid batteries. 24V Power. Group 31 Footprint. One Battery. This helps reduce weight and space requirements while simplifying the overall setup. Bluetooth 5.0 monitoring, a smart BMS, low-temperature charge and discharge protection, and an IP65 rating further make battery status easier to monitor and manage on the water.

100Ah in a Group 31 Footprint Frees Up More Space Onboard
For boat owners choosing lithium marine batteries, compact size can be just as important as capacity. On bass boats, jon boats, bay boats and pontoons, limited onboard space must accommodate batteries, fishing gear, coolers and safety equipment. A smaller battery footprint leaves more room for storage and other equipment.
The Redodo 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth Battery measures L 13.11 × W 6.93 × H 9.45 in. Compared with a conventional 24V 100Ah lithium battery form factor, its volume is approximately 40.8% smaller, while energy density increases from 107.6Wh/L to 187.9Wh/L. This gives users the full 2,560Wh of energy without requiring a larger battery compartment, helping save space while supporting extended trolling and time on the water.
The battery fits BCI Group 31 battery trays. For boat owners with an existing Group 31 mounting location, this can make it easier to upgrade to a 24V lithium system without major changes to the boat layout.
One Replaces Two: Less Weight, Less Complexity
A 24V trolling motor typically requires two conventional 12V lead-acid batteries connected in series. Redodo integrates the full 24V 100Ah configuration into a single Group 31 lithium battery, simplifying the move from lead-acid to LiFePO4.
The new product weighs approximately 44.09 lbs. Compared with two 12V 100Ah AGM batteries, the single-battery setup reduces battery weight by approximately 82 lbs while providing about twice the usable energy, helping reduce onboard weight and support longer use on the water.
Reducing two batteries to one also means fewer battery connections, fewer terminals and simpler installation and day-to-day management. The single-battery configuration eliminates the need for a dual-channel charger, further reducing charging connections and setup steps.

Bluetooth 5.0 Provides Real-Time Battery Monitoring
Beyond size and weight, battery visibility is another key consideration when using lithium trolling motor batteries on the water.
With conventional batteries that lack smart monitoring, users often have to rely on voltage readings or experience to estimate remaining capacity. After several hours of trolling motor use, questions such as “How much power is left?” or “Do I have enough to reach another fishing spot and return?” can be difficult to answer accurately.
With Bluetooth 5.0 and the Redodo App, users can check state of charge, voltage, current, charging and discharging status, battery health and other key data in real time from their phones.

For anglers moving frequently between fishing spots or spending long days on the water, real-time battery information makes it easier to plan remaining runtime and the return trip before heading farther out, reducing uncertainty around available power.
6,000+ Cycles and Smart BMS Support Long-Term Marine Use
The Redodo 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth Battery uses LiFePO4 cells and delivers more than 6,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge (DOD).
Compared with conventional lead-acid batteries that require regular maintenance and more frequent replacement, the longer cycle life can reduce replacement frequency over time, extending the value of a lithium upgrade well beyond a single trip.

The battery also features a 100A smart BMS with more than 20 protection mechanisms, including overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short-circuit, and high- and low-temperature protection. Its low-temperature protection stops charging when temperatures are too low and automatically resumes charging once conditions recover, helping simplify use in cold weather.
For fishing and marine environments, the battery also carries an IP65 rating, helping it withstand rain, splashes and humid conditions commonly encountered on the water.
A Redodo product manager said: “With this 24V 100Ah Group 31 battery, we wanted to make 24V trolling motor power more compact, lighter, simpler and easier to manage. 24V Power. Group 31 Footprint. One Battery. From replacing two traditional lead-acid batteries with one battery to checking battery status directly from a phone, this is another extension of Redodo’s ‘Go Light’ philosophy on the water.”
Beyond trolling motors, the Redodo 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth Battery can also be used in 24V applications including off-grid solar systems, agricultural equipment, RVs and backup power, providing a more compact power option where space is limited but reliable energy is needed.
