LOS ANGELES , CA, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — As vertical entertainment continues to build a rapidly growing audience on mobile screens, VertiCon: The Sequel is bringing the community behind the format together in person.
Returning to Los Angeles August 21–23 for its second annual convention, VertiCon will bring fans, actors, creators and industry talent together at the Hilton Los Angeles Culver City for three days dedicated to the stories, characters and performers driving the rise of vertical entertainment.
Created specifically for the growing community surrounding vertical storytelling, VertiCon takes an entertainment experience largely built around the smartphone and brings it into the room.
Throughout the weekend, fans can participate in live panels, Q&As, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo opportunities, special experiences and conversations with actors and creators from across the vertical entertainment landscape.
Vertical micro-dramas are short-form, mobile-first series typically presented in a 9:16 portrait format and designed primarily for smartphone viewing. As the format has grown, so has the passionate fan community surrounding its shows, characters and increasingly recognizable performers.
VertiCon provides a physical home for that digital fandom, allowing audiences to connect with one another and meet the talent behind the stories they first discovered on their phones.
VertiCon: The Sequel will feature a lineup of highly followed talent and presenters, including Ryan Larson, Erin Orcutt, Eric Guilmette, Jeff Violette, Cayman Cardiff, Rober Keefe, Alex Pychtin, Nick Ritacco, Brooke Moltrum, Shayne Davis, and Kirby Ellwood, with appearances and programming scheduled throughout the three-day convention.
Fans will have opportunities to connect directly with talent through panels, Q&As, meet-and-greets, autograph and photo opportunities, and other special experiences throughout the weekend.
The Verties Take Center Stage Saturday Night
The weekend will also feature The Verties on Saturday, August 22, a live awards ceremony recognizing the actors, writers, directors, producers, creators and productions helping shape the rapidly growing vertical entertainment industry.
The Verties celebrates the human talent, performances, storytelling, craftsmanship and creative collaboration behind the stories millions of viewers are watching on their phones every day.
Unlike a traditional industry awards ceremony, The Verties brings creators and audiences together, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate alongside the actors and creators they follow while recognizing the work taking place both on screen and behind the scenes. The evening is designed not only to celebrate what vertical entertainment has become, but also the community of artists, storytellers and fans helping shape where the format goes next.
Cayman Cardiff and Dan Wolfgram will host The Verties, with musical performances by Riley Davis and Gabriella Graves.
