Kennedy University has secured IKCA accreditation — a CHEA-listed international credential — for its Doctor of Professional Studies program. This milestone extends the university’s multi-accreditation framework across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, ensuring graduates hold internationally recognized degrees.
PARIS, FRANCE — July 30, 2026 — Kennedy University has secured accreditation from the Independent Kazakhstan Center of Accreditation (IKCA) for its Doctor of Professional Studies program. The program was evaluated against IKCA’s quality assurance standards and confirmed to meet the requirements for institutional recognition, a development that strengthens the university’s academic standing across multiple international jurisdictions.

IKCA is a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)-listed international accreditor and is formally recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agency holds Full Membership in the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), is an Affiliate Member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and is a Full Member of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA). IKCA is also included in Kazakhstan’s National Register of Recognized Accreditation Bodies.
“CHEA-listed accreditation from a body like IKCA carries real weight for international students, as it signals that a program has been independently verified against benchmarks recognized in both the United States and the accrediting country,” said Marcus Webb, Principal at Webb Higher Education Consulting.
The IKCA recognition is part of a multi-year initiative by Kennedy University to build a global framework of academic accountability. Rather than relying on a single regional body, the university has engaged with quality assurance agencies across different continents to support its international student body.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the university holds accreditation from the Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), another CHEA-listed accreditor. To ensure its business and professional programs meet distinct regional standards, the institution secured Approved Membership in the Americas Accreditation Council (AAC) and the European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS), both of which are CHEA-listed. These bodies are recognized by authorities ranging from Curaçao’s Ministry of Education and British Anguilla’s Ministry of Education to the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) and the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA).
The university’s strategy extends to emerging educational markets as well. It has received authorization to confer degrees from the Ministry of Higher Education in both Galmudug State and Hirshabelle State, Somalia, along with Institutional Accreditation in Galmudug State. Kennedy University is also listed on the French Ministry of Education’s web portal as an online educational institution authorized to confer private institutional degrees.
By weaving these quality assurance frameworks together — spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa — Kennedy University aims to provide a cross-regional educational model. Each accreditation reflects a deliberate effort to meet the academic standards of a specific region, ensuring that graduates are recognized across a range of national and international contexts.
Kennedy University is an online institution of higher education headquartered in Paris, France, offering professional doctoral and graduate programs to an international student body.
