CHICAGO, Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Giordano’s, the iconic Chicago pizza brand known for its world-famous stuffed deep dish, is teaming up with American cook and content creator Adam Witt to launch the limited-edition Great Chicago Fire Pizza, available exclusively for nationwide shipping beginning August 27.
Inspired by the bold flavors and rich food culture of Chicago, the Great Chicago Fire Pizza brings together hot Italian sausage, giardiniera, and other signature ingredients inside Giordano’s famous stuffed deep dish.
“I’ve built my whole channel on cooking, food history, and the stories behind them, so partnering with Giordano’s wasn’t much of a stretch,” said Witt. “What sold me was that they wanted the actual story of pizza in Chicago, not just a commercial. That meant telling the whole thing, deep dish and tavern style both, because Chicago pizza was never just one thing. Giordano’s is built into that story.”
The three-pound stuffed deep-dish pizza features Calabrian pepperoni and sausage, Chicago-style giardiniera from Caruso Provisions, a full pound of mozzarella, and Calabrian chili honey, bringing together layers of savory flavor, heat, and unmistakable Chicago character. Each pizza is handmade at Giordano’s Rush Street restaurant before being frozen and shipped directly to customers nationwide to bake and enjoy at home.
“Giordano’s took stuffed pizza and made it famous, and that’s a big part of why the rest of the world considers Chicago a pizza city. The Great Chicago Fire came out of the same instinct,” Witt added. “It’s hot Italian sausage, pepperoni, and giardiniera stuffed inside a deep dish, and giardiniera is the condiment this city runs on. The name is about the heat, not the history, though I’d be lying if I said the history didn’t help.”
For more than 50 years, Giordano’s has played a defining role in that story. Founded in Chicago in 1974, the brand introduced its signature stuffed pizza based on a generations-old family recipe and has since helped make Chicago-style deep dish recognized around the world.
The Great Chicago Fire Pizza is available for a limited time beginning August 27 and can be shipped nationwide through Giordano’s online store in packs of two, four, and six. Each pizza is shipped frozen and arrives ready to bake at home.
