New mobile-first precision agriculture platform brings AB line guidance, field mapping and operation tracking to smartphones and tablets.

The app is designed to bring essential field guidance and farm operation tools directly to smartphones and tablets. Farmers will be able to create AB guidance lines, follow parallel passes across fields, configure implement working width and offset, map and save fields, and maintain digital records of completed agricultural operations.

Professional agricultural guidance systems commonly rely on dedicated displays, GNSS receivers and additional hardware. These systems remain important for operations requiring high positioning accuracy, RTK correction or automated steering, but the initial hardware investment can be significant for farmers seeking a simpler way to begin using digital field guidance.

“We are not trying to replace professional high-precision agriculture systems with a smartphone,” said Batuhan Özdemir, Founder and Managing Director of Liquid Apps. “Our objective is to make useful precision farming tools more accessible. If a farmer can begin using digital guidance with a device already in the cab, we can significantly lower the barrier to getting started.”

The application is being developed around real tractor and field workflows rather than as a general-purpose mapping product. Farmers will be able to select a tractor or implement, define working width and offset, choose or create a field, establish an AB line and begin following parallel guidance lines during an operation.

Planned capabilities include AB line guidance, field mapping, saved field boundaries, tractor, combine and implement management, and digital records for activities such as tillage, planting, spraying, fertilizing and mowing.

By helping operators maintain more consistent passes across a field, the app is intended to help reduce unnecessary overlap and missed areas while also creating a digital record of work performed.

Liquid Apps also plans to explore integration with external GNSS hardware as development progresses. Smartphone positioning can provide a practical starting point for basic guidance, while farmers requiring greater accuracy could eventually connect compatible external positioning equipment while continuing to use the same mobile application.

“A farmer may begin with a smartphone and later decide that a particular operation requires greater positioning accuracy,” Özdemir said. “We want to develop an application that can grow with those needs.”

The project reflects Liquid Apps’ broader focus on operational efficiency.

In modern agriculture, productivity is increasingly measured not only by total output, but also by how efficiently land, water, fuel, fertilizer, equipment and labor are used.

In the United States, satellite positioning and precision guidance technologies are widely used across farming operations. Israel is internationally recognized for agricultural water-efficiency technologies, including drip irrigation. The Netherlands has expanded the use of sensors, automation and data-driven production, while Australian farmers use positioning and digital tools to manage large agricultural areas.

Although regional conditions differ, the underlying objective is similar: improve the efficiency of every operation.

“Modern agriculture is increasingly about asking not only how much we produced, but how efficiently we produced it,” Özdemir said. “How much fuel was used? Where did unnecessary overlap occur? Was the operation properly recorded? Can that information help make the next operation better?”

Liquid Apps plans to study agricultural technologies and operational practices used in different regions and evaluate how proven ideas can be adapted into practical digital products for farmers.

The United States is expected to be one of the primary markets for the new app. Product development is being shaped around tractor-based field operations, including multiple tractors and implements, different working widths, repeated seasonal operations and ease of use inside the tractor cab.

“Our focus is to make the app as simple and practical as possible for real field conditions. Farmers should be able to open the app, set up an operation quickly and get to work without dealing with unnecessary steps,” Özdemir said.

Alongside agriculture, Liquid Apps is also working on technologies for mining and heavy industry, with a focus on operational efficiency, workflow digitization, field data collection and operational reporting.

The company sees a common challenge across farms, mines and industrial facilities: significant physical work takes place in the field, while valuable operational information can remain fragmented, manually recorded or difficult to analyze.

Liquid Apps aims to apply its mobile product development experience to these real-world operational environments, where improvements in workflow visibility, data collection and equipment utilization can create measurable value.

The agricultural app is currently under development. Liquid Apps plans to announce additional product features, availability details and launch information as development progresses.
